Sixth Class visit W.I.T.
7th Mar 2016
During “Engineers’ Week”, sixth class pupils met a structural engineer. He explained beams, arches, trusses, compression and tension to them. They were set three challenges.
- To build the tallest tower possible from three single sheets of paper.
- To build a paper bridge that could support weight. The winning bridge was the bridge that would hold the most coins.
- To build an arch with a keystone.
