Letter from Mrs. Slattery
8th Jan 2021
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Following the recent government announcement for all schools to remain closed until January 31st, we will now be returning to teaching pupils through our Digital Platforms, from Monday January 11th 2021. We are currently organising for books and work-packs to be collected from school over the coming days, you will soon receive a text outlining these details. The move to online learning following school closures is certainly challenging for the home and school community. I ask you to please encourage your child to engage with their learning each day and to do their very best to keep going. We hope that our future return to school will allow for catch up and revision also. The whole world is experiencing what we are experiencing and it is outside of our control. Nothing will replace the classroom and the teacher:pupil interaction at school-so we will proceed as best we can, for as long as we are required to do so. I understand the challenge that families are experiencing juggling working from home and also taking care and educating children at home-so please be kind to yourself on a day that may not be as productive as planned. We can only do our best on any given day! We will be in touch frequently and we encourage parents to email the school office or HSCL if there are any issues the we can support you with.
Wishing you all the best for the New Year and a sense of positivity with hopefully an end in sight. Thank you for your continued support.
Please stay safe.
Kind Regards,
Valerie Slattery
