Letter from Junior Infant teachers

8th Jan 2021

Hi everybody,
Happy New Year! We hope you are all well and enjoyed the Christmas
holidays. We are so disappointed that we cannot return to school at
the moment. We were really looking forward to seeing you all and
hearing all your news.
We have put some work in to your folders for you to do at home. Try
your best, but if some of the work is a little difficult ask someone at
home to help you.
We have put in some worksheets (each day’s work dated at the top),
and your Planet Maths book. Try to complete 1-2 pages of this book
every day. You can also finish the last few pages of your Starlight
book.
Make sure you practice your wordlists and sentences every day! And
maybe someone at home could read you a story. You can also listen to
lots of different stories being read to you on “Storylineonline”.
Try to do 20 minutes on IXL every day. (Please contact us if you
have mislaid username or password details.) If you feel like getting
active check out PE with Joe Wicks on Youtube or some fun
activities on Go Noodle.
We would much prefer to be returning to our classrooms, but this is
what we must do to stay safe. We know you will all work so hard and
try your best at home. If you need any help, have any questions or
would like to show us some of your work, please email us. We would
love to hear from you.
