Letter from 1st class teachers
Hi 1st class boys and girls!
We hope you are all doing well at home these days and getting out when the weather is good! How did you get on with your workpacks last week? Remember if you want us to see any of the hard work you have done, ask your parents to take a picture and email it to us.
We are heading into the last week of May already! So you can start Week 7 (25th – 29th May) in your workpacks. This week in your Skills Book there is a story about making a Bucket List. Do you know what a Bucket List is? It is a list of things you would like to do. We think Bucket Lists are really good and fun to do. Why don’t you make a Bucket List with someone in your family, maybe your brother or sister. You could make a list of games you would like to play or things you would like to make! You can cross them out when you have each thing completed. Get started today and have lots of fun with it!
We are learning about the Butterfly this week. Why not draw your own life cycle of a butterfly – use the worksheet in your pack to help you. Butterflies have fabulous colourful wings, design and colour your own butterflies and remember butterfly wings are symmetrical in shape and colour, that means the wings on one side are exactly the same as the other side!
We are also learning about electricity. Things that have a plug use electricity but some things that use electricity don’t have a plug, they have wires hiding behind the wall! Can you make a list of things in your kitchen/sitting room/bedroom that use electricity? Always take care around electricity and unplug things when you are not using them.
We hope you are getting on well with your books. If any of the pages in your books are not listed by us in the workpacks feel free to do them yourself in your own time!
As always you are doing great on Studyladder and IXL – keep it up!!
Have a good week everyone and we will put up another letter to you next week. Stay safe and keep washing your hands.
