Fun Friday

2nd Feb 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Wishing you all the best as we face the start of a new month. We are all thankful to have survived a very unusual January.  There is so much work being done to keep children engaged with their education both by school staff and by you, the parents/guardians.  It is certainly a very challenging time for all, but we are getting there. The children need to be praised also for their commitment to their work and their continued dedication to keeping focused and on track with their learning and in doing so, they are greatly assisting their return to their teacher and classroom.  We miss each and every one of them and we look forward to their return to school, as soon as possible.  Please continue to keep in touch with the school through email or phone.  We are available to offer support for Online Platforms or Devices, at any stage.
As a reward to all our pupils, this Friday will be 'Fun Friday’.  On 'Fun Friday' there will be no formal lessons set by your class teacher and no requirement to turn in assignments. You can turn off your devices for the most part, except for maybe checking the website for some details of fun activities that you may wish to get involved in.  There will be the 'Great St. Oliver's Bake Off' with some of our very own Mary Berrys,  along with some physical challenges for you to test your own skills.  The rest of the options are going to be available on the website on Friday.  Feel free to participate in any activities that interest you. A special thank you to all involved and to Mr O'Connell for co-ordinating the day.
Please keep up the good work, as we countdown to the re-opening of our school.
Wishing you and your families all the best. Stay safe.
Kind Regards,
Valerie Slattery
