Clonmel Commercials visit St. Oliver's N.S.

Today saw the return of St. Oliver's past pupils Danny Madigan, Ian Fahey, Ross Peters, Paudie White, Jake McDonald and Jamie Peters along with team manager Charlie McGeever, and coaching staff Brian White and Tom Ó Ceallaigh. The boys brought with them the O'Connor cup which they galantly won against Nemo Rangers in the Munster Senior Football Club Final recently.

The whole school cheered and clapped for the Munster Champions and Paul Murphy proudly introduced each of the players and also mentioned Kevin Fahey and Shane Flynn who were unable to attend today's celebrations.  I'm sure the children's cheers could be heard down in the Western Road when Charlie suggested they be awarded a night off homework.  With smiles all round we finished out with a rendition of 'Lemon Tree.'

From everyone in St. Oliver's N.S. we'd like to wish Charlie and the team the best of luck in the championship.
