Mrs. Lyon's and Ms. O'Donoghue's 1st classes walked the short distance down the Heywood hill to the Fire Station today. They were greeted by Stephen and Nigel who gave the fun and informative tour. They were guided through what happens once the station receives an emergency call, what different suits a Fireman wears and even got to climb into Alpha 1, the main Fire truck. As a special treat the children got to watch Firemen training in the specially built facility in the back yard. Thank you to Clonmel Fire Station for having us and especially to Stephen and Nigel for the tour.
