Letter from Senior Infant teachers

29th Mar 2020

Hi Senior Infants,

Along with your home packs, here are some activities you can do at home:

Rhyme of the Week:

Easter Bunny

Easter Bunny is

Fat, fat, fat.

His soft little paws go

Pat, pat, pat.

His fluffy pink ears go

Flop, flop, flop.

When Easter Bunny runs he goes

Hop, hop, hop.

Tongue Twister

She sells sea shells by the seashore and the shells that she sells are sea shells for sure.

Art: Trace around your hand (leave out your thumb), draw eyes, nose, mouth, whiskers. Colour in your bunny.

Reading:

Our Senior Infant Class Reader is available to view and read on folensonline.ie. While schools are closed you can sign up for a free account. We use Starlight Senior Infants and we are on Core Reader 3. Our next story is “Sea Lion Splash!” You can also go back and read the stories we have already done. Pop Balloon is one of our favourite games for practising our words and you will find this game here too!

PE:

Don’t forget exercise is good for your body and brain! Do 20 jumping jacks, hop on one foot (10 on each leg), 20 high knees, 20 bum kicks, 20 giant steps. Make sure to count! Or if you would prefer, tune into Joe Wicks for a live PE class Monday to Friday at 9am. Look up The Body Coach on youtube if you would like to join in.

After this week, take a break and enjoy your Easter Holidays!
